At Backline, we know that there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution.
However, we also know that the world of data science can be pretty overwhelming.
That’s why we’ve distilled our consultancy offering into three distinct, yet complementary tiers.
In Discover, we get to know your brand and users, and work out ways to potentially keep them coming back; in Validate, we test our suggested optimisations in a real-world environment, then workshop them until they’re fully effective; and in Amplify, we become in-house Customer Experience experts within your organisation, working directly with (and within) your tech and marketing teams to put music-first Customer Experience at the heart of your business and strategies.
Our Discover tier
Discover is where we work out what makes your users tick.
In this tier, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of your business, brand, platform, strategy, and customer behaviour to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and clarify the strategic path forward to engage more customers than ever with your brand and e-commerce store.
We combine our best-in-class data science, neuropsychology, and consumer behaviour knowledge with our extensive music industry and brand management experience and real-life data from your store and customer portals to create a set of Single Source Of Truth datasets that are fully bespoke to your brand and sales portal. Then, we use this data to formulate and deliver a detailed deck of Customer Experience optimisation suggestions for your e-commerce platform(s) that, if implemented, we believe will help improve consumer engagement, retention and sales volume across your business.
Our Validate tier
In Validate, we take our initial observations from the Discover tier and apply them to your website to see how your consumers react - and tweak them until we see results.
In this tier, we implement targeted, data-driven tests directly within your platforms to confirm or refine hypotheses from the Discover phase. We have the assumptions and observations - now it’s time to find customer-driven evidence to guide strategic decisions and remove any assumptions.
We’ll work alongside - and within - your existing web development processes to develop and deliver actionable results derived from the rigorous testing and development of the optimisation points we raised during our Discover phase. For some stores, this could involve A/B/C testing a set of proposed optimisations or fixes; for others, it might involve looking at your automation strategy and working out how we can help to turn your existing subscribers into fully active fans (and repeat customers).
Our Amplify tier
And finally, our most advanced tier, Amplify, is an enterprise-level partnership focused on sustained growth.
It’s our top-tier offering, designed for us to occupy a central consultancy position within your organisation and take a hands-on approach to leading the sustained growth and optimisation of your business.
Through continuous analytics, experimentation, optimisation, and reporting, we become integral to your brand’s expansion and longterm success. By working on a continual Discovery, Validation, and Amplification cycle, we work with you to continually optimise your core store, peripheral sales platforms, consumer messaging, and expansion and retention efforts, fostering a direct and long-term relationship with your team to drive both the active growth and the passive expansion of your brand and business.
